BEST OF SACRAMENTO

Year 2011 – Todd and Lizette discussed one night of their past, present, and future, contemplating options of their future career path. They were certain on building their own real estate company, then had to decide how it was to be structured. The attitude was, “if we are to do this, we need to go big or go home”.

Todd and Lizette wanted to assist people in locating a home, either by renting or buying. They wanted to own rental properties too. They said wholesale properties would be incorporated somehow. Had no idea what they were up against or how difficult it was going to be for them. Basically, putting themselves in their future client’s position and asked “what did the public need” when it comes to real estate services that nobody is doing. And there it was, they would provide Real Estate Sales, Property Management, and Wholesale Properties services.

Todd and Lizette are a power team that is self-resilient. They know their own strengths, building on their weaknesses as they become apparent. They divide their accountabilities into categories when it comes to business operations. They capitalize on value when it comes to customer service with continued education, consideration, and integrity.

This business model is designed with the public in mind. They researched each brokerage and learned their feebleness, then surpassed them all in each area. Since they don’t rely on one service for income, their prices were set junior across the board. They are hammering any competitor around but providing more service than expected and at a lower cost to the consumer. Their clients have no reason to outsource another service because they feel reassured knowing they are receiving the best price with every service offered.

That's what makes them the "One Stop Shop" in real estate. Providing a turnkey Real Estate brokerage for anyone who owns a residential house, whether to live in or as an investment.

Todd and Lizette Souza sell both retail and wholesale properties to cash buyers, vendor repairs, lease the unit out to tenants, then sell the investment properties once the investor is market ready. Depending on investment strategy, a 1031 is an option when transitioning investment properties.

The business model was now formalized, but still needed a trademark name. A name to remember, yet it had to attract investors. “Is it already taken”, was their next concern, fortunately it was available. The name California Property Investment Group was formed and would go by “CALPIG”. Next came the logo, it was easy, how about a savings pig? Next, green was decided for the fact other brokerages had blue, red, and other mixture of bold primary colors.

The succeeding year they managed to get qualified, achieving both a broker and agent license. Efforts and experience compounded each day, each month, each year until finally California Property Investment Group was incorporated in January 2012. At the time, Lizette had 6 years of experience in Real Estate and 4 years in full-service Property Management. Whereas Todd was starting from scratch in Real Estate. They believed in themselves and stayed the course, sacrificing time, money, and their sole well-being for a future retirement plan. Their education and experience grew little by little, year by year, client by client.

By 2017, CALPIG had become noticed within the community for their hard-earned efforts. Unknowingly, The Sacramento Award Program had their sights on Todd and Lizette. They were interviewed several times unexpectedly on the phone by several anonymous persons posing as clients and tenants, asking questions about the company structure, service, and prices. Their enthusiasm radiates as they speak about services provided and how it benefits everyone. One day, Todd and Lizette received an email and it read:
